Business Central Premium is a more advanced version of the Business Central software product. It includes all the features of Business Central Essentials, as well as additional capabilities such as:
- Service order management, including tracking and managing service orders
- Manufacturing management, including production orders and capacity planning
- Warehouse management, including advanced inventory management and bin and directed put-away and pick
- Job management, including tracking and managing jobs and resources
Privileges of Business Central Premium License
Business Central Premium is a software product that includes all the features of Business Central Essentials, as well as additional capabilities. The following are the privileges of the Business Central Premium license:
- Service order management: Business Central Premium includes service order management features, which allow users to manage their service orders and related transactions. This includes creating and managing service orders, tracking service order status, and managing service order resources.
- Manufacturing management: Business Central Premium includes manufacturing management features, which allow users to manage their manufacturing processes. This includes creating and managing bills of materials, production orders, and work centers, as well as tracking production costs and managing production resources.
- Warehouse management: Business Central Premium includes warehouse management features, which allow users to manage their warehouse operations. This includes creating and managing warehouse locations, tracking inventory movements, and managing warehouse resources.
- Job management: Business Central Premium includes job management features, which allow users to manage their job-related transactions. This includes creating and managing jobs, tracking job costs and revenues, and managing job resources.
- Reporting and analytics: Business Central Premium includes advanced reporting and analytics features, which allow users to create and view more complex reports and dashboards. This includes creating custom reports and dashboards, as well as using advanced analytics tools such as Power BI.
Differences between Business Central licenses
There are three main licenses for Business Central: Business Central Essentials, Business Central Premium, and Business Central Team Members. The differences between these licenses are as follows:
- Business Central Essentials: This license provides core financial management features, such as general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. It also includes sales and purchase management, inventory management, and project management. Business Central Essentials is licensed by assigned user.
- Business Central Premium: This license includes all the features of Business Central Essentials, as well as additional capabilities such as service order management, manufacturing management, warehouse management, and job management. Business Central Premium is also licensed by assigned user.
- Business Central Team Members: This license provides unrestricted access to certain features of the software, such as viewing and editing items, customers, vendors, and other records. However, it does not provide access to financial management features, such as general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Business Central Team Members is licensed by assigned user.
